See the two-colored river on the Thai-Laos border from Loei’s Skywalk Chiang Khan

      Tambon Pak Tom in the Chiang Khan District of Loei Province is home to Skywalk Chiang Khan, also known as Skywalk Phu Khok Ngiw, which stands 80 meters (roughly the height of a 30-story structure) above the level of the Mekong River. In excess of a hundred meters in length and more than two meters in width, a glass hallway stretches out before you. The Huang River flows through on its way to join the Mekong River, and the two rivers converge at a beautiful spot on the Thai–Lao border, which can be seen from the skywalk.

      The Big Buddha Image Phu Khok Ngiw, a 19-meter tall Buddha statue made of fiber mixed with gold resin, can still be seen at the summit of Chiang Khan Skywalk.

      Those interested in witnessing the sunset amidst the stunning backdrop of the surrounding mountains should plan their visit for the evening. In contrast, if you visit during the late rainy season or early winter, you will likely wake up to a dense blanket of fog, which has an otherworldly appeal for some people.

      The Chiang Khan Skywalk is open to the public from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and it costs 60 baht per person to use the shuttle service, which includes the cost of special shoes.
