Thailand Makes a Leap! WHO Recognizes Top 5 Countries Free from Trans Fats

Thailand has made another significant leap in healthcare! The World Health Organization (WHO) has officially recognized Thailand as one of the top five countries in the world free from trans fats. This achievement demonstrates Thailand's commitment to creating a healthy society for its citizens.

Since announcing a ban on the production, import, and sale of foods containing trans fats in 2019, Thailand has been acknowledged by the WHO as a global leader in successfully eliminating trans fats from the food industry, particularly in Southeast Asia. This positions Thailand as a model country with best practices for trans fat elimination. This success not only reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases but also enhances consumer confidence regarding food safety. Furthermore, the removal of trans fats positively impacts Thailand's image as a nation that cares for its citizens' health and maintains a reliable food industry.

Being recognized as one of the first five countries free from trans fats confirms Thailand's dedication to building a healthy society and achieving international success. This is a crucial step that enables the Thai food industry to grow and gain more opportunities in the global market.
