The Ministry of Public Health is prepared! The flood response plan focuses on caring for vulnerable groups.

During the flood crisis affecting several provinces, including Chiang Rai, the Ministry of Public Health has prepared an intensive response plan focusing on the care of vulnerable groups, such as the elderly and those with chronic illnesses, who may be severely impacted by the flooding situation. The Minister of Public Health has ordered local officials to closely monitor water conditions and provide urgent assistance to ensure that citizens receive appropriate care.

  •      Mental Health and Sanitation Care Post-Flood

After the waters recede, mental health care for affected citizens is equally important. The Ministry of Public Health has planned to restore environmental sanitation and monitor potential outbreaks that may arise from unsanitary conditions. Health officials will survey and rehabilitate affected healthcare facilities to ensure they can resume services promptly, reassuring the public that the government will not abandon them.

  •      Preparation of Medicines and Medical Supplies for Affected Areas

The Ministry of Public Health has arranged sufficient stockpiles of medicines and medical supplies to address emergency situations in affected areas. Each province is required to maintain enough medications for at least three months to care for residents effectively during severe flooding events. This preparation will facilitate quick and efficient access to healthcare services for the public, especially during significant flood occurrences.
