Place to apply for a student visa

If you are a foreigner interested in studying in Thailand, you can apply for an education visa, or Non-immigrant ED visa, at any Thai embassy or consulate abroad. As a first step, you will need to contact the educational institution in Thailand. Choose the courses you want to study in a full-time program and make sure that you meet all the requirements of the student visa, and pay at least 50% of the tuition fees or the full cost.

The educational institution will then send the relevant documents to you for the purpose of applying for a student visa, and some educational institutions will also send your documents to the Thai embassy or consulate.

Once you enter Thailand, you must report your address or residence in Thailand every 90 days to the Immigration Office. If you do not report yourself within the specified period, there will be a fine of up to 2,000 baht. In some cases, there may be legal penalties or visa cancellation.
