Popular parks in Bangkok

            Currently, Bangkok (2022) has a total of 8,810 green spaces in the form of parks and gardens with 40 large parks spread across 50 districts of Bangkok, with a total area of 25,541 rai 220.48 square Wah (40,866,481.92 square meters). The ratio of green space per population is 7.31 square meters per person. In addition to being a place for recreation, some parks also have exercise equipment or have running and cycling lanes for fitness enthusiasts. In some places, you can bring your dog for a walk. 1. Benchakitti Forest Park (Khlong Toei District) was built under the concept of of the coexistence of the forest park and water like a large sponge that helps cope with flooding.

2. Suan Luang Rama IX (Prawet District) is the largest botanical garden in Bangkok. There are many types of plants designed according to taxonomy and ecology principles, and there are also 3 large springs.

3. Lumpini Park (Pathumwan District) is a “multi-purpose garden” that has a shady atmosphere with large trees throughout the park. There is a beautiful scenery with a garden of various types of ornamental flowers. It’s a popular park for relaxing and enjoying activities such as Tai Chi, playing games, listening to music, dancing lessons, and reading books at the library.

4. Wachirabenchathat Park or Rot Fai Park (Chatuchak District) was developed from a golf course. There are many activities in the area. It’s a popular park for relaxing, riding bicycles and visiting the Bangkok Butterfly and Insect Park.

5. Queen Sirikit Park (Chatuchak District) is a botanical garden with a collection of more than 2,000 species of plants.
