Application for extension of stay in Thailand in the case of certification by BOI, Industrial Estate Authority, or Department of Mineral Fuels

Foreigners may be permitted by an immigration officer to work in the Kingdom of Thailand under the supervision of the Board of Investment (BOI), including the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand and the Department of Mineral Fuels. But when the permit period has expired, an application for an extension of stay must be submitted, with the following documents:

      1. Form TM.7 ( fee of 1,900 baht);

       2. Form TM.8 (Single = 1,000 baht, Multiple = 3,800 baht);

      3. Two photos, size 4 x 6 cm., taken within the past 6 months;

      4. Certificate from Office of the Board of Investment, Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, or Department of Mineral Fuels;

      5. Copy of passport with original passport:

  • Page with photo;
  • Page with the first Non-immigrant Visa;
  • Page with the first travel as a holder of the Non-immigrant Visa;
  • Page with the last authorized visa;
  • Page with the latest re-entry;
  • Page with the latest entry; 
  • TM.6 card.

      6. Form STM.2 (Acknowledgment of Terms and Conditions for Permit of Temporary Stay in the Kingdom of Thailand).
