City Buses from Phuket Airport and Hat Yai Airport

     As the southern beaches of Thailand are known for being as beautiful as beaches in other countries, no wonder the South is a destination for tourists from around the world. Therefore, when they arrive at the airport, they can take these recommended ways to reach the city:

Phuket Airport

     1. Car / Airport Shuttle

     The airport shuttle service can be easily booked in advance for convenience and speed. It is suitable for those with a lot of luggage and who want to allow for a time delay.

     2. Airport Bus

    For those who don't like driving, an airport bus is a good option thanks to its stops across the city, departing every hour, fixed schedule, and suitable for baggage-less travelers who have extra time. It is available in front of the exit of the Arrival Terminal and the Passenger Bus Terminal 1.  

     Phuket Airport to City Center, from 8:15 a.m. to 8:15 p.m.

     Downtown to Phuket Airport, from 9:15 a.m. to 9:15 p.m.

      Bus route: Buses run the same route both to and from the airport: Indigo Pearl Hotel – Phra Nang Sang Temple – Thao Thep Monument – Boat Lagoon – Premium Outlet – Irrawaddy Bypass – Tesco Lotus Big C Intersection – Central Department Store – Surakul Stadium – Panthep Condo Town – Merlin Hotel Intersection – Satri Phuket School Intersection – Old Bor Kor Sor Station (City Center).

     3. Airport Bus Express

    It is available in front of the exit of the Arrival Terminal and Passenger Bus Terminal 1. The details are as follows:

   Airport to Patong Beach, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

    Patong Beach to Airport, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

    Bus route: Buses run the same route both to and from the airport: Fort Muang Mai - Thalang - Lotus Thalang - Pier - Boat Lagoon - Lotus Bypass - Kathu Intersection - Patong Beach.

     4. Phuket Smart Bus

     To please tourists wishing to access beaches in Phuket, Phuket Smart Bus can be accessed from the Domestic Terminal near the exit of the Arrival Terminal. It’s ideal for beach vacationers or backpackers wishing to experience Phuket's famous beaches.

     Bus route: Phuket Airport – Thalang Public Health Office – Ban Khian - Boat Avenue Cherng Talay - Tesco Lotus Cherng Talay - Surin Beach - Kamala Beach - Phuket Fantasea - Big C Kamala - Patong Beach - Karon Beach - Kata Beach – Sai Yuan – Rawai Beach

     * You should be aware of a delay as buses depart hourly according to the schedule.

     5. Public passenger vans

     For those traveling alone or wishing to reach the city center with a few stops, vans are the most suitable because they can be flexible. They stop only at major beaches: Phuket Airport – Patong Beach - Kata Beach - Karon Beach. 

     6. Rental car

     You can contact the service at the counter in the Arrivals Terminal, the Domestic Terminal, and the International Terminal. 

Hat Yai Airport

     1. Car / Airport shuttle

     Airport shuttle service can be easily booked in advance for convenience and speed. It’s suitable for those with a lot of luggage and who can allow for a time delay.

     2. Minibus / Microbus

     - It conveniently reaches Hat Yai City Center through major districts.

     - Available throughout the day. Buses run on a fixed schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 11 p.m., suitable for travelers who know the routes and are not in a hurry.  

     - Fare of 60 baht at a flat rate. 

     Bus route: Buses run the same route. 

Hat Yai Airport - Agricultural Market Van Station - District Office - Niphat Uthit 2 Road - Kim Yong Market - in front of the Clock Tower - Hat Yai Wittayalai School - Kho Hong - Prince of Songkla University - Central Festival Department Store - Hat Yai Bus Station  

     3. Minibus

     - It runs from the airport into the city, or from the ring road to Hat Yai Airport. 

     - Available 100 meters from the airport. 

     - Buses run through many routes in the city center. The schedule is quite flexible and suitable for baggage-less travelers. 

     - Service fee of 20-30 baht per person.

Hat Yai Airport - Hat Yai Nai - Hat Yai Police Station - Kim Yong Market - Prince of Songkhla University - Bus Terminal

     4. Airport Van

     Travelers who have arrived at Hat Yai Airport may take an airport van to reach the city center at either the arrival gate or the exit gate. Follow the sign “City Van." 

     - The fare is 100 baht.

Hat Yai Airport - Sanehanusorn - Central Festival - Lee Garden Hat Yai - Chue Chang - Kim Yong Market
