Instructions for passengers traveling with pets

          Passengers traveling with pets must comply with the rules of the airport and notify the Pet Travel Office, who will advise on the regulations and procedures for transporting pets (dogs, cats, birds, etc.) out of the Kingdom. 


Passengers must follow the procedures below:

  • Submit an Animal Transport Application (Form R.1/1); 
  • Have the pet’s health checked not more than 2-3 days before traveling;
  • The checkpoint issues an animal transport license (Form Ror.9), together with an animal health certificate.

To apply for permission to transport animals out of the Kingdom, the following supporting documents should be provided:

  • Copy of the owner's passport;
  • Copy of the identity card of the export clearance person;
  • Copy of Rabies Vaccine Certificate in case of dogs and cats;
  • In case of birds or other animals, export certification documents from the Royal Forest Department or export consent from the airport wildlife checkpoint officer or a CITES document are required.
