Thai Agricultural Innovations Break into Health Market in China, Surpassing Sales Targets!

The International Health Expo 2024 in Guangzhou, China, serves as a significant platform where the Ministry of Commerce and the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP)  showcase innovative Thai agricultural products. This event has garnered overwhelming interest from buyers and importers from various countries.

In this initiative to introduce  the Chinese health market with innovative agricultural products, a selection of unique health items was presented, including food and lifestyle products. Examples include snacks, herbal pain relief sprays, fruit jams enriched with fiber and probiotics beneficial for gut balance, ready-to-eat Som Tam (Thai papaya salad) and Tom Yum (spicy soup), as well as high-protein plant-based dietary supplements. These products received enthusiastic responses from buyers and importers both within China and internationally, with over 800 visitors to the Department of International Trade Promotion's booth. Based on business negotiations, the estimated value of orders for innovative agricultural products generated from this event is approximately 45 million baht. This marks a positive indicator for expanding the health product market in China, a country with a high potential and a preference for Thai goods. This represents a great opportunity for Thai entrepreneurs, as this exhibition helps create chances for market expansion and increases international recognition.

Participation in the Inter Health Expo 2024 is a crucial step for exporting innovative Thai agricultural products to the Chinese market. The significant interest from buyers and importers both within China and internationally confirms the quality and competitiveness of Thai products in the global market, while also providing opportunities for Thai goods to gain recognition and achieve sustainable growth in the international market.
