Summary of Nine Urgent Tourism Stimulus Projects During Low Season

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports has announced decisive measures during the low season to invigorate domestic tourism. It has approved a budget of over 433 million baht for nine projects to attract domestic and international tourists. These initiatives include online marketing and organizing local identity events that reflect Thailand's charm in each region.

1.Online Tourism Marketing Project - Budget: 280 million baht

2.Amazing Thailand Passport Privileges - Special perks for tourists using their passports

3.Promotion of Tourism in Provincial Groups through Local Identity Events—"Amazing  Thai Charm Festival" Budget: 153 million baht, organized in five regions:

  • Chiang Mai:Chiang Mai Art and Music Festival
  • Kanchanaburi: The River of Time
  • Chonburi: Chonburi International Music Festival in Rain
  • Nakhon Si Thammarat: Khanom Mindfulness Territory
  • Khon Kaen: Isan Charm Festival

4.Amazing Thailand 365 Days - A campaign promoting must-visit cities

5.Amazing Thailand Passion Ambassador - Engaging ambassadors to promote tourism

6.Travel with Bus Tours Across Thailand 2024

7.TAT 999 Thai Travel Thai - A special travel initiative

9.Tax Measures to Promote Tourism in Secondary Cities

These measures aim to stimulate domestic travel from August to September 2024, with an expectation of over 350,000 international tourists entering the country and more than 250,000 participants in activities across the five regions. This initiative is seen as a quick win that will help revitalize Thai tourism during the low season!
