Step into the World of Thai Textiles and Culture at the "Rajaphusitaphon Siam" Exhibition at the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles

Immerse yourself in the world of Thai textiles and culture at the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, located at the Grand Palace. This special exhibition celebrates the auspicious occasion of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn's 72nd birthday.

The exhibition, titled "Rajaphusitaphon Siam," will run from July 31, 2024, to April 2027, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM daily, including public holidays.

Visitors will have the opportunity to view the ceremonial attire worn by His Majesty the King during his coronation, along with various types of royal textiles and local fabrics such as embroidered and brocade cloth. Additionally, the "Looking at Siam Through Time" activity room showcases traditional Thai attire in different social contexts.

The exhibition provides a comprehensive look at Thai clothing from the Ayutthaya period to the reign of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. It also highlights the "Chut Thai Phra Rajaniyom" traditional Thai outfits inspired by Queen Sirikit's royal initiative, as well as the significance of auspicious colors associated with the nine celestial deities, which remain an integral part of Thai life today.

We invite you to explore the rich cultural heritage of Thailand, admire the beauty of Thai textiles and history, and help preserve these invaluable cultural treasures for future generations.
