MHESI Collaborates with Huddersfield to Discuss Research and Educational Cooperation Between Thailand and the UK, Aiming to Create Opportunities for Students and Researchers of Both Countries

On October 15, 2024, Professor Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI), along with his team, met with representatives from the University of Huddersfield, UK, led by Prof. Monty Adkins and Prof. Abhijit Sharma. The meeting focused on creating educational and research opportunities, with the aim of enabling Thai students and researchers to engage in cutting-edge fields such as engineering, artificial intelligence, mental health, and medicine.

During the discussion, both parties explored plans for allocating international scholarships, student exchanges, and promoting valuable joint research projects. The collaboration particularly emphasized fields that have a positive impact on the quality of life and sustainable regional development. This dialogue marks an important step in enhancing Thailand’s global competitiveness and strengthening ties with leading universities in the UK.

This partnership opens doors for Thai researchers and students to gain exposure and develop their skills in areas critical to the future of education and research at an international level.
