Exhibition on Healthy Thais in Honor of His Majesty the King at Yala Hospital

Yala Hospital in Mueang District, Yala Province, is organizing an exhibition, “Healthy Thais,” in honor of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty's sixth-cycle (72nd) birthday anniversary, 28 July 2024.

The exhibition, scheduled for 1-30 July 2024, aims to encourage people to exercise by walking, running, and cycling to prevent strokes and paralysis, which are a major health burden in Thailand. They are the leading causes of death and long-term disability in both men and women.

The exhibition also features the royal activities of His Majesty the King, especially in medicine and public healthcare. His Majesty has provided support for public health development in order to enhance hospital services to meet people’s needs. He generously promoted the establishment of a mobile stroke unit at Siriraj Hospital to provide emergency services for stroke patients. The services have gradually expanded to all parts of the country.

His Majesty the King has also donated modern medical equipment and ambulances to many hospitals nationwide to save people’s lives and rehabilitate patients, as well as supporting relief efforts addressing patients’ needs. He has sent mobile medical units to provide treatment for people in various areas and for those affected by disasters.

His Majesty has offered scholarships for nurses in the southern border provinces and supported the development of networks for mother and child health in order to improve the people’s quality of life and bring them good health.

His Majesty is recognized as a role model in exercising and using sports to promote solidarity and unity and in encouraging the people to be aware of the importance of exercising and playing sports for good health.
