The 28th edition of the Bangkok International Festival of Dance and Music brings world-class performing arts to the capital, featuring 12 grand productions from 9 countries across opera, ballet, contemporary dance, and multimedia shows. Held from September 5 to October 17, 2026, at the Main Hall of the Thailand Cultural Centre, the festival spans diverse themes ranging from Shakespearean classics and pop culture to fashion icons.

  • Classic Ballets: Performance of Romeo & Juliet and Cinderella by the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus.
  • Eifman Ballet from Russia: The dramatic Russian Hamlet, choreographed by Boris Eifman, exploring political power struggles in imperial Russia.
  • New York City Opera: US company's Thailand debut with the showcase Opera Goes to Hollywood.
  • Fashion & Literature: Contemporary ballet Coco Chanel by Czech Republic's National Theatre Brno, alongside The Great Gatsby featuring period-accurate 1920s costuming.
  • Grand Operas: Classic stagings of La Traviata and Madama Butterfly by Russia's Helikon Opera with a live full orchestra.
  • Contemporary & Circus: French choreographer Sadeck Berrabah's viral Murmuration Level 2, Brazil's Deborah Colker Dance Company performing RITE set to Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, and a circus-dance adaptation of Alice in Wonderland.
