Of course, if an accident or unsafe happens to tourists, it will affect the image of Thailand and the tourists’ travel decisions as well. Therefore, in order to build confidence for foreign tourists to visit Thailand, Foreign Tourists Assistance Fund has been established.
Foreign Tourists Assistance Fund (Foreign Tourists Assistance Fund) It is a continuation of the project for remedial expenses for foreign tourists in case of loss or damage caused by negligence, intention, or illegal acts of tourists by considering the criteria, methods and conditions for Expenses for Foreign Tourists Assistance Fund B.E. 2558. A “tourist” who suffers loss or damage shall have the right to apply for remedial assistance from the Fund on his own or for a “representative of the tourist”, i.e. his statutory heir or a person authorized by the tourist to submit an application.
