     In addition to Phanang curry being ranked 1st  among the world's best-tasting stews by Taste Atlas, Massaman curry has also been ranked 8th, green curry 17th, Thai curry 33rd, spicy curry ranked 35th, and rice noodles in fish curry sauce ranked 90th.

     Massaman curry, a rich, red-orange curry that is sweet, salty, and spicy, is a dish that all Thais are familiar with. Whether you buy it from a street vendor or in a Michelin-starred restaurant, you will discover a dish with a unique and memorable taste. Readers may recall that Massaman curry gained a worldwide reputation in 2017 by being ranked as the world​'s best food ​by ​​CNN Travel.

     The Taste Atlas website refers to Massaman curry as the "King of Curry," combining spicy coconut milk and nuts. Although the instant curry powder used for adding sweetness and saltiness can be found in supermarkets, the taste and results are almost comparable to what is served in restaurants. In addition, the phrase "The Land of Smiles" is not only an exaggerated slogan, but is the result of having delicious food for sale on almost every street corner.

     The original Massaman curry came from India before it was introduced into Thailand. The Persian guests assumed that the word “massaman" came from the Persian term "Muslim man."

     Nowadays, we can find Massaman curry almost everywhere, whether it is a curry restaurant, a restaurant in a mall, or even a posh restaurant in a hotel, such as Khao, a Thai restaurant, the winner of the Michelin 1-star award for two consecutive years, which uses traditional Massaman recipes, along with the choice of stewing a large piece of lamb until it is tender, with an intense curry flavor. Or Sra Buaby Kiin Kiin, the creation of Thai Massaman Thai, in a modern style of fine dining. 

     The endless variety makes Massaman a favorite dish among both Thai people and foreigners. Everyone falls in love with the taste that blends perfectly with Thai culture.
