International health center.

          Thailand aims to become the international health center or Thailand Medical Hub to be in line with the 20-Year National Strategy on Building Competitiveness and the 12th National Economic and Social Development Plan on Strengthening the Economy and Underpinning Sustainable Competitiveness. Those interested in investing in a health business can refer to the various criteria announced by the Department of Health Service Support. The criteria for naming health establishments as follows.

1. The name of a health establishment must be in Thai characters but may include characters in other languages at the end of Thai characters.

2. The name of a health establishment must not contain words or statements that are too persuasive or exaggerated, or words or statements that would lead to the perception that the establishment provided therapeutic treatment.

3. The name of a health establishment must not convey obscene meaning or contrary to public order, custom and morals.

4. The name of a health establishment must not convey meaning or refer to the monarchy unless royal permission or royal assent is granted. The health establishments located in the same province must have its unique name, unless the applicant for a new health establishment license and the former health establishment licensee are the same person or juristic person or the former health establishment licensee issues a letter of consent to use the same name, provided that there must be characters or numbers or location at the end of the name.

5. The permitted name of the health establishment must be displayed on a plate showing the name of the health establishment in Thai characters. In case of using a foreign language, the font size must be smaller than the Thai font. The type of business of the health establishment must also be specified on the name plate. The name plate of a health establishment must be consistent with the type of business and the name on the license. The health establishment name plate must be displayed at the front of or on the building of the health establishment and clearly visible from the outside.
