T-VER project renewal process

Renewal of the T-VER in accordance with Thailand Standards

        Project developers who wish to renew the Voluntary Greenhouse Gas Reduction Project (T-VER) must submit a request and supporting documentation to Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) (TGO) at least 180 days before the project’s credit period expires.

The process requires the following steps:

  1. Submit a request for renewal of the T-VER project and related documents to the TGO by email (saraban_tgo@tgo.or.th);
  2. The TGO checks the completeness and correctness of the documents. In case of incomplete or incorrect documents, the TGO will notify the project developer with a request to revise and send them back to the TGO within 15 working days. If the project developer fails to send documents to TGO on time, the request will be removed from the directory;
  3. The TGO officials will consider visiting the project site to assess its feasibility, suitability, and sufficiency in light of project criteria and greenhouse gas reduction regulations;
  4. Within 30 working days of the project documents being deemed complete and correct, the TGO will present them to the subcommittee considering projects and activities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to screen for accuracy;
  5. After the project has been reviewed by the TGO subcommittee, it will be presented to the Board of Directors for consideration and approval on the project’s renewal, including a total consideration period of no more than 60 working days from the date the project documents are found to be complete and correct;
  6. The TGO notifies the project developer of the project renewal result and sends a letter notifying the applicant for project renewal T-VER of the result.
