Let's See How the Government Supports Eco-Packaging and Create an ECO Brand to Help Businesses Expand Their Customer Base

Campaigning for the use of eco-packaging.

Eco-Packaging or packaging that will naturally degrade in 5 years or can be recycled without creating additional greenhouse gases. Currently, various sectors are campaigning for the use of eco-packaging, resulting in the awareness of consumers to focus on choosing products packed in eco-packaging, such as using paper food boxes instead of styrofoam boxes or plastic boxes, using paper tubes instead of plastic tubes. 


Currently, the Packaging and Recycling Management Institute for the Environment is a representative of the private sector grouped together under the Federation of Thai Industries, which is responsible for setting criteria to promote packaging management according to the principles of the circular economy and applying the principle of Extended Producer Responsibility or EPR, the principle of expanding the environmental responsibility of the manufacturer to cover the whole life cycle of the product from design, production to handling used packaging according to environmentally friendly principles to drive the recycling society in Thailand

Which is now a group of entrepreneurs, small and medium enterprises or SMEs are accelerating to adjust the production sector and packaging to be environmentally friendly and as a result of this measure, investment has been made in this industry with major packaging innovation leaders from abroad who see growth opportunities in Thailand turning to form alliances with Thai entrepreneurs in order to elevate the product to create green packaging to meet the needs of consumers who look for sustainable products that do not harm the environment.
