Open measures to promote investment for community and social development

     The Office of the Board of Investment (BOI) has established investment promotion measures for community and social development in order to increase investment incentives, strengthen communities and society, and achieve long-term growth. The qualifications, conditions, rights, and benefits are as follows:

Qualifications of applicants for investment promotion

1. Existing projects, regardless of whether they have been promoted or not.

Case 1: BOI projects with expired corporate income tax exemption privileges or BOI projects ineligible for corporate income tax exemption;
Case 2: It is a non-BOI project (never applied for promotion).
(Both cases must be the types of activities currently promoted by the Office.)

Benefits

- Exemption from corporate income tax for a period of 3 years with a credit limit of 200% of the financial support.


2. Existing projects that have been promoted and whose corporate income tax exemption rights and privileges have not yet expired.

3. Or a new project eligible for corporate income tax exemption.

Benefits

- Receive a corporate income tax exemption equal to 200% of the financial support.

Scope of supported activities

1. Development of agriculture and water systems;

2. Development of community products/ OTOP;

3. Development of community tourism;

4. Development of education, public health, and the environment in the community.

Supporting terms

1. The minimum investment in the project to support local organizations must be at least 5 million baht;

2. Each local organization must contribute at least 500,000 baht, which covers costs such as factory construction, machinery and equipment, total training costs, and other related expenses;

3. It can directly support local organizations such as cooperatives, community enterprises, social enterprises, local government organizations, community public educational institutions/ hospitals, or through government educational institutions/ research institutions that collaborate with local organizations;

4. Must be completed within three years of receiving the promotion certificate.
