Nowadays, many of the investors in the Stock Exchange of Thailand are more aware of conducting business in accordance with the framework of ESG sustainability concepts (environmental, social, and governance). The listed companies, including retail and institutional investors, pay more attention to ESG principles, which will have a long-term positive impact on the stock market and the country’s economy.

To promote the quality of business with ESG principles, the stock exchange offers free consulting services and suggestions on “ESG in Practice” for listed companies in the development of their organization. These pieces of advice and suggestions cover many areas, such as governance, strategic analysis, risk and sustainability, and sustainable business management.

It also promotes the sustainability disclosure of listed companies, in order to meet international quality standards in line with the rules of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the needs of users. In addition, this disclosure is beneficial to the limited companies in developing the organization to achieve continuous efficiency.

In addition, the Stock Exchange of Thailand encourages the listed companies to participate in the sustainability performance assessment in order to be selected for the Thailand Sustainability Investment (THSI) list, and it honors and promotes the listed companies with outstanding ESG performance, as well as promoting and preparing potential listed companies to be listed on the international sustainability indices, such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI), FTSE4Good, and MSCI ESG.
