Driving Thailand with the BCG Economic Model (2021-2027)

       Driving Thailand's development with the BCG Model in 2021-2027 can be divided into three phases. In the first phase of the operation, the parties involved are able to reap some of the results, as the activities have been running for some time. The next phase is the expansion, including the initiation of new operations to lay the foundation for national development in line with the global and national context. All activities under the plan are initiated simultaneously to avoid delays and to be effective throughout the duration of the action plan. The details of each phase are discussed below.

Phase 1: 2021-2022 (In action)
 - The bilateral awareness and understanding of the BCG model has increased;

 - The agencies adjust their operational plans to be in line with the BCG plan;

 - The farmers, as entrepreneurs, have been developing their new skills that contribute to better occupations;

 - The ecosystem becomes a more important part of national development with the BCG Model, including monetary and fiscal mechanisms, importing experts from abroad, and preparation of useful databases, such as biodiversity databases, culture, tourist attractions, and the Thai Innovation Account Database.


Phase 2: 2023-2025
 - The proportion of entrepreneurial farmers applying the BCG concept increases;

 - The domestic market for BCG products and services grows further;

 - The proportion of the development value of high-value products and services increases;

 - Investment in existing and new BCG industries expands. 


Phase 3: 2026-2027
 - The market share of Thai products and services in the region and the world increases;

 - The quality of natural resources and the environment increases; 

 - Thailand plays a role in setting standards for BCG products and services in the international arena;

 - Sustainable consumption and production systems are increasingly adopted;

 - Leading, advanced infrastructure is available to facilitate innovation.
