Seven exciting destinations to visit this rainy season - Songgaria, Kanchanaburi

"Huay Songgaria" is situated in Nong Lu sub-district of Sangkhla Buri district in Kanchanaburi, and is one of the fascinating attractions of the area. Located in Ban Song Karia, the way to the Three Pagodas Pass, it's just on the right-hand side after crossing the bridge. This charming spot has a small swimming area, food stalls, and car parking facilities, though only during the summer and winter. In the rainy season, the water level can get high, and the food stalls are usually taken down for safety. During summer and winter, the water level is just about knee-high, making it safe for kids to play. But during the rainy season, the water can get quite deep and dangerous for children. So, if you're planning a relaxing day out to splash around, it's recommended to go on a weekday as it's less crowded compared to the weekends.

Songgaria River, or Huay Songgaria, is one of the rivers flowing through Kanchanaburi province, meandering through various communities and Karen villages. The river divides Sangkhla Buri District into two sides before it merges with two other rivers - the Run Ti River and Bi Khi Yai River, forming the Khwae Noi River. This merging point is referred to as "Sam Sob" or "Sam Prasob," near the Uttamanusorn Bridge (Mon Bridge) and Wat Wang Wiwekaram Temple. "Songkalia" in Mon language translates to "that shore." Today, Songkalia River is an adventure tourism site, where you can experience thrilling kayak rides from Songkalia Bridge to Uttamanusorn Bridge.

In addition to this, at Huay Songgaria, there are restaurants and rental shops for inner tubes to play in the water. The riverside seating is super casual, where you can order food and chill out. Let me tell you, the ambiance is just amazing! It's the perfect spot to unwind, dip your feet in the water, and immerse yourself in nature. And trust me, the water here is super cool. You can enjoy yourself so much that you'll lose track of time.

Another highlight is Songgaria Water Play Point. The riverside huts, crystal-clear water where you can see the fish swimming beneath, and dipping your feet in the refreshing water – all of these make for a delightful experience. The place is open every day, and you can park your car inside.
