Household items import clearance procedures

 1. An importer or an agent submits an application for duty exemption and required documents to teh Central Service Division, Bangkok Port Customs Office, or Customs Bureau/ Import Customs; 

 2. The official checks the documents and considers the right to exemption from duty, If the household items are not exempted from duty, the Customs Department will collect duties as normally done;

 3. The Customs Department returns the inspected documents to the importers so that the importers or their agents can prepare and submit the declaration information, and proceed with tax payment (if any);

 4. To receive the goods from the custody of the customs, the importers or their agents must present the import declaration along with the documents at the customs service for release of the imported goods.
