Guide to buses and cars from Suvarnabhumi Airport

     Travelers from abroad or even in Thailand, upon arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport, usually wish to reach the next destination as quickly as possible. We have many travel tips to share in the sections below. (And if you’re interested in the Airport Rail Link, that’s covered in another article.)

     1. Airport Shuttle Bus

     Suvarnabhumi Airport – Don Mueang Airport
Available at the Passenger Terminal, 2nd Floor, Gate 3, from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight). This is available only for passengers who need to make a connection at Don Mueang.

     2. Public vans

     The service is available at the Bus Terminal, transporting passengers from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the following destinations around Bangkok:

  • Bus No. 549 to Min Buri, 6:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
  • Bus No. 552 to On Nut, 4:00 a.m. – 11.00 p.m.
  • Bus No. 559 to Rangsit (Monday - Friday), 6:30 a.m. – 10.00 p.m. / (Saturday - Sunday), 6:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
  • Bus No. 555 to Don Mueang, 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Bus No. 552A to Paknam, 5:00 a.m. – 10:40 p.m.

     3. Public buses
     The service is available at the Bus Terminal, transporting passengers from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the following cities:

  • Bus No. 389 to Pattaya (Jomtien), 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

  • Bus No. 390 to Rong Kluea Market (Sa Kaeo), 6:40 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

  • Bus No. 825 to Nong Khai at 9:00 p.m.

    And at the Passenger Terminal, 1st Floor, Gate 8: transporting passengers from Suvarnabhumi Airport to: 

     

  • Bus No. 389 to Pattaya (Jomtien), 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

  • Bus No. 789 to Hua Hin, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

  • Bus No. 392 to Koh Chang at 7:50 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m.

     4. BMTA buses (Bangkok Mass Transit Authority)

     The service is available at the Bus Terminal, transporting passengers from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the following locations:

  • Bus No. 554 Rangsit (Ramintra Road), 5:00 a.m. - 8:40 p.m.
  • Bus No. 555 Rangsit (Rama 9 Expressway), 5:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.
  • Bus No. 558 to Central Rama 2, 5:00 a.m. - 8:40 p.m.

     And at the Passenger Terminal, 1st Floor, Gate 7: transporting passengers from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Bus No. S1 to Khao San (Sanam Luang), 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

     5. Taxis

     It is a convenient and familiar way, convenient for travelers with heavy luggage. Passengers can reach their destination quickly with over 8,300 registered taxis. Press the queue button in front of the Passenger Terminal on 1st Floor, Gates 4 and 7, and then take a taxi according to your queue number. The additional charge is 50 baht. 

     6. Car Rental

     If you wish to rent a car to travel, there are many private car rental companies here. The pick-up and drop-off point is on the 2nd Floor,  Gate 7, the Passenger Terminal.
