Thailand Organizes Amazing Race Festival Sattahip Triathlon 2026 to Promote Sports Tourism

Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy, Representing Her Majesty the Queen, Presents Trophies and Flags Off the AMAZING RACE FESTIVAL SATTAHIP TRIATHLON 2026, Driving Sport Tourism and Elevating Sattahip as an International Sports Destination

🎊 This morning (14 June 2026) at 9:30 a.m., Admiral Pairoj Fuengchan, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy, acting as the representative of Her Majesty the Queen, presented trophies to the winners of the triathlon competition and officially flagged off the 5-kilometer open-water swimming race.

Mr. Surasak Phancharoenworakul, Minister of Tourism and Sports, delivered a report on the competition results and formally invited the champions to receive their trophies at the AMAZING RACE FESTIVAL SATTAHIP TRIATHLON 2026, held as part of the Eastern Region Sport Tourism Promotion Event 2026.

Also attending the ceremony were Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), TAT executives, winning athletes, and members of the organizing committee, who joined in commemorative photographs.

🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️ This event, jointly organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Royal Thai Navy, Chon  Buri Province, and Trileague (Thailand) Co., Ltd., took place from 12–14 June 2026 at the Fleet Headquarters, Sattahip Naval Base, Chon Buri Province.

It featured a variety of competitions, including standard and sprint-distance triathlons and duathlons, road running races, and long-distance open-water swimming events.

The festival serves as a key Sport Tourism initiative, encouraging travel while creating meaningful travel experiences for both Thai and international visitors, athletes, and fitness enthusiasts. It is also expected to generate significant economic benefits and further position Chon Buri as a premier sports hub destination for international sporting events.

Organizers anticipate attracting more than 8,500 participants and visitors, generating at least 120 million baht in direct and indirect economic impact.
