The 2024 International Mental Health Conference emphasized the concept of the "New Wave" or S-Curve to drive the development of Thailand's mental health into the future. The focus is on advancing innovations and modern digital technologies that truly meet the needs of the population.

The conference highlighted three main points:

1. Research and Development of Mental Health Innovations :  The Minister of Public Health stressed the importance of accelerating research and developing new innovations to create products and services that truly address the mental health needs of the population. This development aligns with the government’s policy to enhance the quality of life and well-being of the Thai people.
2. Strengthening Mental Health Personnel :  Building and developing high-competency mental health personnel is another key factor in coping with rapidly changing situations, especially in an era where digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) play a significant role. The government prioritizes preparing personnel to meet these challenges to ensure effective mental health services.
3. Integration of Mental Health Services with Digital Technology :  The development and integration of mental health services with digital technology is a crucial step in providing timely and comprehensive mental health care to the population. This integration requires collaboration from all sectors, both public and private, as well as international cooperation to establish a high-quality and standardized system.

This international mental health conference not only demonstrated Thailand’s commitment to mental health development, but also provided opportunities for knowledge exchange and strengthened international cooperation. The aim is to make mental health accessible and modern in the digital era.
