"Water for Communities" is a royal initiative that has transformed the lives of people in Ban Thung Na

The Thung Na Water Control Building Project, along with its water distribution system and ancillary buildings, is a project graciously endorsed by His Majesty the King as part of the royal initiative on September 23, 2020. The objective is to assist the residents of Na Pradu Subdistrict, Khok Pho District, Pattani Province, who are facing a shortage of water for consumption.

The Special Committee for Coordinating Royal Initiatives (Office of the Royal Development Projects) has approved a budget for the Royal Irrigation Department to develop a procurement plan, with a timeline of 8 months. This project will support water supply for consumption to five communities: Na Pradu Market Community, Ban Ton Liab Community, Ban Kha Kheem Community, Wat Nai Community, and Ban Na Pradu Community. It will cover 561 households and approximately 1,750 people, ensuring they have sufficient water throughout the year.

To ensure effective and equitable water management, a "Water User Management Committee" has been established to jointly oversee and manage water resources for maximum benefit to the community. This project will not only provide residents with water for their daily needs but also enhance stability in terms of consumption and promote the quality of life for the villagers in Na Pradu Subdistrict sustainably.
