Thailand's Tourism Authority (TAT) has officially welcomed Suchata "Opal" Chuangsri after she became the first Thai to win the Miss World 2025 title in India.
TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool received Suchata on 14 June as part of the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025 campaign. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports views her victory as a significant boost to Thailand's international visibility and tourism promotion efforts.
Officials highlighted Suchata's representation of modern Thai women's qualities—capability, social consciousness, and global perspective. Her Miss World role will support Thailand's soft power strategy and sustainable tourism initiatives.
TAT will assist with Suchata's official duties and charitable activities throughout her reign, both domestically and internationally. The collaboration aims to enhance Thailand's image as a premium travel destination and strengthen the country's global profile.
