Thai PM Leads Nationwide Flood Response, Emphasizes Seamless Cooperation

Thai Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul chaired a meeting of the National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Command (NDPMC) with relevant agencies and provincial governors nationwide to assess the flood situation and assist victims in Bangkok and other regions, emphasizing seamless cooperation across all sectors.

The Prime Minister praised civil servants, the military, and volunteers for their full mobilization to help citizens. He urged officials to listen patiently and understandingly to public criticism and feedback to better address their needs.

The Prime Minister instituted daily morning briefings to bridge communication gaps and prevent siloed responses. This approach aims to harmonize critical operations, such as water regulation between Bangkok and the Royal Irrigation Department, to prevent redundancy and waste.

Following the Bangkok Governor's declaration of disaster zones in the capital, NDPMC is ready to fully deploy resources and assistance to resolve the flooding efficiently and quickly.

With these concerted efforts, Thailand remains steadfast in mobilizing all resources to swiftly overcome the disaster.
