Flooding Begins to Ease in Parts of Samut Prakan; Assistance Continues for Affected Residents

28 September 2026 — Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Supamas Isarabhakdi inspected the drainage system in Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan Province. She said floodwater had begun to recede in several areas, while relevant agencies continued pumping operations and relief efforts.

The minister also visited a temporary shelter housing over 300 evacuees and the Chaturamit community, where an estimated 600 households were reported to be affected. Local agencies have been instructed to assess each household’s needs, prioritize older people and bedridden patients, and provide regular updates regarding support and safety before residents return home. 

Minister Supamas emphasized that the Government will closely monitor the situation, keep the public informed of the progress of assistance measures, and maintain ongoing support encompassing immediate relief, recovery, and rehabilitation.
