Thammasat University and KMUTT Students Develop “Nerth AI,” Winning National Startup Pitching Award

Students from Thammasat University and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi have jointly developed “Nerth AI,” a no-code/low-code Data and Artificial Intelligence platform, and secured first prize in a national Startup Pitching competition held as part of a major AI exhibition in Thailand. The achievement reflects the growing capability of Thai higher education institutions in advancing artificial intelligence innovation and supporting the country’s digital economy agenda through practical, market-ready solutions.

The development of Nerth AI aligns with government policies aimed at promoting digital transformation, innovation-driven growth, and the strengthening of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which play a central role in national employment and economic activity. The platform is designed to reduce barriers to AI adoption by enabling organizations to manage data, build automated workflows, and apply AI models without requiring advanced technical or programming skills. This approach supports the public sector’s objective of expanding access to digital tools and improving productivity
and competitiveness across the SME sector.

The success of this project demonstrates the effective integration of multidisciplinary knowledge from economics, business, science, and technology, as well as the role of universities as key drivers in developing skilled human resources and innovation ecosystems. Recognition at the national level underscores the potential of locally developed AI platforms to support enterprise efficiency and informed decision-making, while reinforcing the government’s long-term strategy to foster technology adoption, strengthen the innovation workforce, and advance Thailand toward a sustainable digital and
knowledge-based economy.
