Thailand's First Prime Ministerial Visit to Indonesia in 15 Years

Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul attended an official welcoming ceremony hosted by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on August 3, 2026.

This first official visit to Indonesia by a Thai premier in 15 years launched an important diplomatic mission to shape future cooperation between the two countries.
​The reception, held at 4:30 p.m., highlighted the strong friendship, mutual trust, and enduring bilateral relations between Thailand and Indonesia.

​After the welcoming ceremony, the leaders were scheduled for a restricted meeting and a plenary bilateral discussion. They would then witness the exchange of two key documents and conclude with a joint press conference.
