Thailand Launchs “HALAL BRIDGE Program 2026” to Boost SMEs into Global Halal Markets

The Islamic Bank of Thailand (iBank), in collaboration with the Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Bank), has officially launched the “HALAL BRIDGE Program 2026,” building on their previous partnership from 2023–2025 to support Thai halal entrepreneurs in expanding into international markets. The initiative aims to strengthen the capabilities of SMEs by enhancing production processes, improving halal standards, and integrating technology and innovation to increase competitiveness and export readiness.

The program focuses on equipping entrepreneurs with the tools needed to scale globally, including support for halal certification, product development, branding, and access to financing. It aligns with the Thai government’s policy to position the country as a regional halal industry hub. Target participants are high-potential halal businesses with existing products and experience but lacking structured access to international markets, market intelligence, and global trade networks.

To ensure tangible outcomes, the program has expanded partnerships to include agencies such as Innovation and Technology Assistance Program, which supports SMEs in upgrading technology and innovation. Key activities include training seminars, export-oriented packaging design, participation in events like Grand Halal Bangkok 2026, global market research, and business matching with international buyers. Beyond knowledge-sharing, the program provides in-depth preparation on market trends, regulations, standards, and marketing strategies—empowering Thai entrepreneurs to confidently enter and grow in the global halal market.
