Thailand and Poland Strengthen Defense Cooperation and Knowledge Exchange

Thailand and Poland are deepening their defense cooperation and knowledge exchange to enhance mutual security and promote long-term collaboration in the defense industry. The Permanent Secretary for Defence of Thailand welcomed the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Bangkok for discussions at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, which trace back over 125 years since the reign of King Chulalongkorn and 53 years of formal diplomatic ties established in 1972. The two nations have continued to expand cooperation across various sectors, including trade, education, tourism, agriculture, science, and particularly defense.

The meeting emphasized advancing cooperation in defense technology, military equipment, and industrial development to enhance the capabilities of both armed forces in response to modern security challenges. Thailand also proposed promoting Thai defense industry entrepreneurs to join international supply chains and develop joint production and distribution of defense-related products.

This dialogue reflects a shared determination to deepen strategic defense cooperation, strengthen regional security, and build a foundation for sustainable self-reliance in defense technology
