The Royal Thai Police has partnered with the Ministry of Public Security of China to come up with a coordination center to combat scam call networks between the two countries.
The center aims to dismantle scam call networks operating from Myanmar’s Myawaddy and Cambodia, involving Chinese and Thai nationals. Operations are scheduled to begin in February.
In addition, Thailand has strengthened border security in Tak Province by strictly screening incoming passengers and enhancing border patrols to counter smuggling.
Effective control of this regional issue requires unified cooperation among all parties for the benefit of all people in the region.
