On 30 June 2026 at 10:42 a.m. (local time), Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand, accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, departed Le Meurice Paris, Their Majesties' official residence during the State Visit to the French Republic, by royal motorcade for the Arc de Triomphe de l’ Etoile, where a wreath-laying ceremony was held in honor of the Unknown Soldier.
Upon arrival, Their Majesties were welcomed by Mrs. Catherine Vautrin, Minister for the Armed Forces and Veterans of the French Republic, and Lieutenant General Loïc Mizon, Military Governor of Paris.
His Majesty the King then proceeded to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier beneath the Arc de Triomphe de l’ Etoile, where His Majesty laid a wreath and observed a moment of silence in tribute to the Unknown Soldier.
Following the ceremony, His Majesty greeted members of the Flame Committee, the organization responsible for overseeing the Eternal Flame at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The King then signed the commemorative guest book.
Thereafter, His Majesty greeted members of the French official delegation, who were introduced by Mrs. Catherine Vautrin, Minister for the Armed Forces and Veterans.
After the ceremony, Their Majesties departed by royal motorcade for the Hôtel de Ville de Paris (Paris City Hall).
