Thai Army Condemns Cambodia’s Artillery Strike on Thai Civilians

The Royal Thai Army strongly condemns the Cambodian side’s use of cross-border weapons, which has caused damage to the lives and property of Thai citizens.

On 9 December 2025 at 01.00 hr, the Royal Thai Army received a report from the Burapha Task Force that artillery shells fired from Cambodian territory had struck two civilian homes in Ban Khok Thahan Village, Sa Kaeo Province. No injuries or fatalities were reported.

This incident constitutes a violation of national sovereignty, endangers civilian safety, and represents a serious breach of humanitarian principles.

The Royal Thai Army reaffirms that Thailand continues to operate in strict accordance with international standards and will implement all necessary measures to safeguard national sovereignty and protect the Thai people. Thailand will respond as necessary and appropriate to any provocations or attacks that threaten national security.
