TAT and Fastwork Target Digital Nomads

The Tourism Authority of Thailand has partnered with freelance platform Fastwork to launch a new campaign promoting Thailand as a premier global workation destination.

The official launch of the "Workation Paradise Throughout Thailand Season 3" took place today in Bangkok. The event was presided over by Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Thapanee Kiatphaibool. She was joined by the CEO of Fastwork Technologies, CK Cheng, along with President of the Tourism Council of Thailand Chai Arunnanonchai, and the President of the Association of Thai Travel Agents, Thanapol Cheewarattanaporn.

The TAT Governor stated that Thailand's strong tourism and digital infrastructure, supported by government policies like the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV), make it highly attractive for international remote workers. She described this flagship project as a key strategy to increase tourist arrivals and create new travel experiences. The partnership with Fastwork aims to effectively reach high-value tourist segments, including digital nomads and freelance expatriates.

The campaign will offer special travel deals and activities, including promotions for team workations. A special campaign on the Fastwork platform will also connect users with unique travel deals across Thailand.

The TAT anticipates that this project will increase the average length of stay and tourist spending. The agency projects the campaign will generate over 210 million baht in economic value, helping distribute income to local communities and solidifying Thailand's position as a leading global hub for work and travel.
