Story Behind Logo of 2026 IMF-World Bank Group Annual Meetings

Discover the story behind the design of the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group, taking place in Bangkok, Thailand, from 12 to 18 October. 

Inspired by the Chakra emblem, a protective pattern traditionally used in sacred places and on ancient Thai “bullet coins,” the logo, designed by Paithoon Patitsonthicharoen, brings the essence of Thai culture into a contemporary visual identity. 

Blending traditional motifs with a modern design, the logo celebrates Thailand’s heritage on the global stage.
