Arun Boonchom, Sheikhul Islam of Thailand, has delivered a New Year blessing for 2026, extending wishes of peace, compassion, and prosperity to people across the country as the new year begins.
The Sheikhul Islam prayed for guidance and protection to help Thailand overcome ongoing challenges, including natural disasters and security concerns, and called for strength and resolve in addressing difficulties affecting both the nation and the wider world.
The message urged unity among Thai people of all backgrounds, urging citizens to live by moral principles and the teachings of their respective faiths. It also conveyed support for soldiers carrying out duties to safeguard national sovereignty and public safety.
Arun stressed the need to learn from crises and adapt ways of life to live in greater balance with nature, while also underscoring peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and cooperation among religious and cultural communities as pillars of Thai society.
The blessing concluded with prayers for Their Majesties the King and Queen and the Royal Family, wishing them good health and well-being. It also extended wishes for resilience, generosity, and strong health among the Thai people, along with continued peace, stability, and security for the nation.
