PWA and Private Sector Organization Strengthen Cooperation on Water Technology and Innovation

Thailand’s Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a private sector organization from the Republic of Korea to strengthen collaboration in water technology systems, modern water management, research and development, and personnel capacity building. The agreement marks an important step toward expanding international cooperation in the water sector and advancing sustainable water management development.

The partnership aims to establish a framework for knowledge exchange, technology sharing, and innovation development in water management. Areas of collaboration include research and technological advancement, technical
exchanges, expert cooperation, and stronger cooperation between Thailand and the Republic of Korea in water-related industries. The initiative will also promote workforce development through training programs, study visits, and academic
collaboration activities.

PWA emphasized that water supply services are more than essential public utilities; they are a key foundation for quality of life, economic development, and sustainable societies. Both organizations will work together to modernize water systems, improve operational efficiency, reduce water loss, and adopt advanced technologies to enhance public services while supporting sustainable water management in the long term.
