MOU Signing Between CMU Engineering and Hitachi Energy to Build the Future of Education

The Faculty of Engineering at Chiang Mai University has partnered with Hitachi Energy to shape the future of education and energy through a significant collaboration aimed at advancing energy innovation. On September 23, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hitachi Energy (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The goal of this partnership is to promote education, research, and energy innovation for students and faculty members.

This collaboration will focus on developing the nation's energy workforce with up-to-date knowledge and skills in line with evolving technologies, particularly in renewable and clean energy sectors such as solar energy, wind energy, and hydrogen. It will also emphasize the development of smart grid systems and energy management technologies to ensure efficiency.

Furthermore, both parties will organize various activities to foster student learning and skill development, such as internship programs, joint research projects, and knowledge exchange between students and experts from Hitachi Energy.

This partnership marks a significant step in the advancement of energy-related academics and technology in Thailand and will help produce knowledgeable professionals to meet the future demands of industry and society.
