A Mobile Agricultural Clinic was inaugurated in Nakhon Pathom under royal patronage to honor His Majesty King Rama X and continue the legacy of Thailand’s royal initiatives. The program aims to provide proactive, on-site agricultural services and address farmers’ needs across crop, soil, livestock, and fisheries management.
The project brings together experts, equipment, and academic knowledge directly to farming communities, reducing procedural steps and costs while enhancing convenience for farmers in remote areas. The initiative emphasizes sustainable support, enabling farmers to adopt modern techniques and improve productivity.
The program also continues the vision of previous monarchs, including King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great and Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother, focusing on alleviating public hardships and promoting national development in agriculture, water management, health, education, and environmental conservation.
The initiative aims to empower farmers with knowledge and tools that extend beyond immediate services, helping them achieve self-reliance, stable livelihoods, and competitiveness in today’s economy. By equipping farmers with practical expertise, the project ensures long-term benefits and stronger community resilience.
Nakhon Pathom, a key agricultural hub with a GDP of 19,357 million baht in 2023, produces a variety of major crops such as rice, pomelo, fragrant coconut, and orchids, as well as livestock including pigs, dairy cows, and poultry, alongside fisheries. However, the province faces ongoing challenges such as farmer debt, limited farmland, seasonal flooding, and water salinity, which the mobile clinic aims to help address.
Through this initiative, farmers gain direct access to government support and scientific innovations, enabling practical solutions for everyday agricultural challenges while promoting sustainable growth and economic stability in rural communities.
