On September 24, 2024, His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen were present at the Amphorn Sathan Throne Hall, Dusit Palace, to open an event for packing 1,000 survival kits for children.The purpose of this initiative was to provide essential items to children in flood-affected areas.
His Majesty expressed deep concern for families affected by the disaster, especially newborns and young children, during the severe flooding situation.Thus, he graciously ordered the preparation of survival kits containing necessary supplies for children, such as dolls, blankets, baby carriers, powdered milk, baby food, and diapers.
Additionally, royal donations were sent to flood-affected areas in Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Nan, Phayao, Phrae, Tak, Phitsanulok, Nong Khai, and Loei. This assistance was carried out urgently to alleviate the suffering of the people.
As the flooding situation began to improve, His Majesty also provided high-pressure water sprayers to aid in the recovery of homes and public places.He emphasized support for those who participated in relief efforts by presenting wreaths to village leaders who lost their lives while on duty and scholarships to the children of volunteers who passed away
On September 30, 2024, His Majesty graciously delivered 3,271 survival kits for children to the governors of Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai and the district chiefs affected at the Mae Sai Municipality Hall.
This royal initiative reflects His Majesty's concern and sacrifice in assisting the people while inspiring everyone to volunteer and help one another during times of crisis.
