Her Majesty the Queen of Thailand Granted Audience with Their Majesties Emperor and Empress of Japan

Her Majesty the Queen was granted an audience with Their Majesties Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan at the Imperial Residence in Tokyo on October 20. The royal audience took place during Her Majesty’s visit to Japan from October 14 to 21, which included engagements related to promoting women’s ice hockey.

Her Majesty traveled to Japan at the invitation of the President of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) in her capacity as the federation’s Global Ambassador for Women’s Ice Hockey. During the visit, Her Majesty attended the 2027 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s Asia Championship, held in Sapporo from October 15 to 18, 2026.

At the championship, Her Majesty attended the women’s ice hockey competitions and presented medals and trophies to the athletes. Her participation reaffirmed her support for developing women’s ice hockey and expanding opportunities for female athletes on the international stage.
