The Halal Science Center at Chulalongkorn University is advancing Thailand's halal industry to a global level by developing modern innovations and technologies, including a "Halal Blockchain" system and the "THAIs" platform. The center aims to leverage AI and Big Data to enhance competitiveness in the global market.
On October 7, 2024, Minister of Industry Mr. Ekanat Prompan and his delegation visited the Halal Science Center at Chulalongkorn University. During the visit, Associate Professor Dr. Winai Dahlan, the Center's Director, presented the mission and role of the center in advancing Thailand's halal industry, highlighting the application of digital technologies such as "Halal Blockchain" and the "THAIs" platform to reinforce halal standards. Additionally, plans to use AI and Big Data were introduced as measures to enhance the quality and standards of Thai halal products. The Minister also toured the Halal Forensic Laboratory, a vital component in ensuring the safety standards of these products.
The Halal Science Center is committed to continuous innovation in the halal industry, enabling Thai halal products to compete more effectively in global markets. This milestone signifies a significant collaboration between the government and academia to modernize and internationalize the halal industry.
