Government Sets Target to Generate 3.4 Trillion Baht from Tourism in 2025, Boosting Domestic Satisfaction

Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra announced rising public satisfaction with domestic tourism management, citing a North Bangkok Poll survey indicating that 61.2% of respondents were pleased with government efforts, while 55.7% believe tourism management has improved from the previous year.

In 2025, the government aims to increase tourism revenue by 7.5%, totaling 3.4 trillion baht, expecting up to 40 million international tourists and over 205 million domestic trips, targeting both renowned and hidden travel destinations.

The government spokesperson emphasized that these goals are not just numbers. The mission is to position Thailand as a unique travel destination, showcasing its cultural heritage and natural beauty, and hospitality. The positive survey results motivate the government to continue enhancing Thai tourism, raising service standards, and creating memorable experiences for visitors.
