China Confident in Thai Chicken Standards, Approves Three More Thai Frozen Poultry Processing Plants

Thailand is preparing to increase its poultry exports, which is great news for tourists and those interested in the food industry. Recently, Dr. Somchuan Rattanamungklanan, Director-General of the Department of Livestock Development, announced that the Customs Office of the People's Republic of China has approved and registered three additional Thai poultry processing plants. This brings the total number of approved factories from 23 to 26!

The Director-General further stated that China is an important trading partner for Thailand in the livestock export sector, with frozen poultry products being a key item that continues to grow. In 2023, the export value reached 16.9 billion baht, and in the first half of 2024, it exceeded 8 billion baht. It is expected that throughout 2024, the export value will soar to 18 billion baht.

The increase in poultry product exports promotes the Thai economy and creates trade opportunities for the country's food industry. It also enhances consumer confidence in product quality for both domestic and international consumers, especially tourists visiting Thailand who will consume high-standard poultry products. This presents a great opportunity for investors interested in participating in the food industry and exports.
