2nd Army Area: Cambodian Fire Hit Laos

The 2nd Army Area has clarified via a social media post that munitions which landed in Laos during the border conflict were fired by Cambodian military forces.

In a Facebook post, the 2nd Army Area Command addressed reports that stray munitions from the Thai-Cambodian clashes had damaged homes and property in Laos, expressing deep regret for the incident. However, the post stated that after an investigation in coordination with Lao authorities, it was confirmed that the munitions did not originate from the Royal Thai Armed Forces.

The investigation concluded that the munitions were fired by the Cambodian military. The 2nd Army Area reiterated that it exercises extreme caution in the use of all support weapons to ensure that non-military targets are not affected.
